Too Big to Fall
Do you think we're tall enough,
To see the sun settle down?
To soar above the sea below?
To laugh before we drown?
I see the earth widen her arms,
Awaiting our tender flesh.
Knowing we are ever hers,
And this wave will always crash.
But from this hill, we feel immune,
We feel as giants, free,
Sinking or shaken and never still,
We sail and ever flee.
Here we are eternal,
We never age nor bend nor pall.
Standing on the tips of toes,
We feel far too big to fall.
