An Ounce of Praise

When making a Person Tart recipe calls for the following:

Three cups of courage, for humans, are scary.
Two cups of lore, for we have stories to tell.
Eight ounces of empathy, because we all try our best.
Three gallons of patience, because we often fail.
Nine drops of wisdom, as we all need a little.
Seven spoonfuls of guidance, as we can get a little lost.
Two squeezes of affection, since we all need touching.
A tablespoon of suffering, life comes with a cost.
An ounce of praise, to leaven the spirit.
Three shakers of solace, for when we’re at our worst.
A drop of kindness, will go on for ages.
An ocean of endurance, to still lifelong thirst.

Mix well in the morning and let rise until sunset.
Bake for as long as is needed at 98.6 degrees.
Serve when you’re able.
Protect what you can.
Build wise sons and daughters.
Live close to the land.
Keep warm when it freezes.
Warm up when required.
And love fully,
Love often,
And keep them inspired.
