Ready Set
Maybe one day,
I can say,
Those words they debate,
They can all relate.
I said it first,
In a whisper,
A curse,
And that's where a story begins.
It begins in the quiet,
Before attention is paid,
Before one becomes two,
And severs into multitudes.
A cymbal crashing,
A baby screaming,
A fist upon flesh,
A sob breaks a prayer,
Aren’t they musical?
Soundtrack of modern symphony,
Playing the theremin,
To fiddle our Rome down.
