Color Guard Parade

Do you see my rainbow colors?
The bright prism the slices,
Pares my traits to ribbons.
Bright and bloody,
Bathed in razor light,
More than bare,
Naked in the liquid sun.
Here's my heart in purple and blue,
My soul with more yellow and pink.
My eyes should be green,
If there were meanings,
They shout more than whisper.
Always the parade,
But never the pride.
Shhh…
They see me as beige,
Little do they know,
The magic rainbow,
I bear in my sinews,
The glitter running in my veins.
Color me with light and dark,
And I'll burn the whole house down.
