Vast
Silence blooms so loud it could block out the sun
Like a wall between us, an ocean of white noise and broken things
Like fragile glass waiting for the snap from clumsy touch
Like a parody of intimacy, promising comfort to the self with liar's lips
So I float, a raft abandoned to the tidal oppression of empathy living room devoid of life
Standing where we once stood
Now, lone occupant, I am too small to fill such vastness
These acres of floorboards, the miles of bare walls
Lost without your pictures, we all sit empty frames
Washed with weeping into transparency
Look at my broken places and empty spaces
And there you will see the carefully crafted void
Where once was woven all my hopes
